From 9 September 2024, the Call for Proposals addressed to the Piedmont Regional Sanitary Companies is open, which aimed at financing energy efficiency projects and promoting the use of renewable energies in buildings, as provided for by the Measure co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027.
The Piedmont Region intends to support energy efficiency measures of buildings, structures and facilities in the regional hospital heritage, which will reduce consumption, expenses and CO2 emissions, pursuing energy-environmental objectives in line with EU and national targets.
Regional Health Companies will be eligible for support for two types of intervention:
- those aimed at the energy efficiency of the building (included in the Action II.2i.1), comprising thermal insulation of buildings, replacement of fixtures, efficiency of air conditioning systems, screening and/ or shading systems…
- those aimed at promoting the use of renewable energies (included in Action II.2ii.1), comprising installation of hydro-solar power plants photovoltaic; installation of plants for the production of thermal energy through the exploitation of geothermal, solar thermal or biomass energy; systems of storage/storage of the produced energy.
Renewable energy interventions will be financed if there are also energy efficiency measures, for which a contribution has been requested from this call or the previous ERDF programming 2014-2020.
For the action “Energy efficiency in public buildings” are allocated € 17,090,909.09, while for the promotion of the use of renewable energies in public buildings are foreseen € 6,409,090.91.
This Call respects and conforms to the principle of “not causing significant damage to the environment” (DNSH), for which eligibility requirements are compliance with environmental legislation, the mandatory application of relevant CAMs and compliance with ITACA, where applicable.
