RECROSSES: Two Events in Turin

In the first week of April, two events took place as part of the Interreg France-Italy ALCOTRA RECROSSES project, an initiative aimed at promoting the development of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) in Italy and Europe. The meetings were held in Turin, at Environment Park, the project leader’s headquarters, and represented an important opportunity for discussion among the involved partners and all stakeholders in the sector.

On April 8th, the fifth Project Steering Committee (COPIL) meeting of the project was held, a crucial event to review the activities carried out so far and plan future actions. RECROSSES partners gathered at Environment Park to discuss the progress made and to align on the goals to be achieved in the coming months. This meeting allowed for the sharing of results, strengthening collaboration between the various entities involved, and defining the roadmap for future actions. The project, which involves several local, institutional, and business entities, aims to facilitate the transition to renewable energy sources by creating energy communities that can generate and manage energy in a shared and sustainable way.

On April 9th, also in Turin, the mid-term event was organized by the Regione Piemonte, focusing on the theme “Support Services and Services for Renewable Energy Communities.” Targeted at local authorities, associations, businesses, professionals, and all those interested in the world of RECs, the event offered the opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities related to the creation and management of energy communities.

These events were crucial in reaffirming the importance of RECs as key tools in the energy transition.
